3 easy chicken lunchbox ideas

My baby girl is officially a big girl now, and has started Kindergarten this year! It was with a mix of joy and apprehension that I brought her to meet her teacher last week. She is doing great so far, and she tells me she is learning “math and other silly words” at school.

I decided to pack her lunches for school this year, because she has food allergies, and I need to make sure her food is safe. When I pack her meals, I like to make sure I am packing healthy foods, that don’t cost a fortune, and that she’ll actually eat! It seemed like a daunting task at first, but I am coming up with some wonderful ideas and am getting the hang of it!

In addition to healthy, affordable and edible, I also need to find quick lunch ideas so I am not having to wake up at 4am just to prep meals! I was brainstorming some different ways to cut out lunch prep time, without sacrificing quality or nutrition in the food, and was delighted when I found Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips. They are 100% all-natural, made with all-white meat, 97% fat free and they come fully cooked, which cuts down a considerable amount of time on my end. It is an effortless way to make healthy home cooked lunches for my “baby” girl.

I went to Walmart and picked up a bag of Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips, grabbed a few other ingredients, and I was ready for meals this week! Chicken is such a great protein to add to lunches, because it compliments so many flavors, and kids tend to really love it.
