It has been a while since my family did any random acts of kindness, so I decided to put together a diaper bag gift set to give to the women’s shelter in our town. I wanted to get some essentials that all moms need, and add a few things that a mom would enjoy as well!
What you Need
I went to my local Family Dollar, because I wanted to stretch my money and buy as much as I could for the diaper bag gift set. I had a budget of $30, and was able to pick up:
- A diaper/bottle bag
- A pack of Huggies Snug & Dry diapers
- A pack of Huggies Natural Care wipes
- A baby blanket
- A wipe travel case
- 2 pacifiers
- A baby teether
I was surprised at how much I was able to get on my budget. Family Dollar is a great resource for moms to pick up all of their baby needs when they are trying to stretch their dollars!
Assembling the Diaper Bag Gift Set
I tucked the wipes, travel case, pacifier and teether into the diaper/bottle bag. Then, I opened up the baby blanket and used it to wrap the Huggies diapers like a present. This is a fun and eco-friendly way to wrap a package of diapers for gifts!
It’s easy to do. You start out with the blanket open, in a diamond shape. Place the package of diapers near the top of one corner, and fold the corner down onto the package. Fold the diapers forward again, then grab the opposite corner, fold in half, and fold onto the diaper package. At this point, grab the two remaining ends and tie two knots in the center, then tuck the remaining fabric in.
I also created and printed out these monthly baby milestone prints to include in the diaper bag gift set. This is a free thing to include, and the recipient will love it. If you want to print these out for your baby, or to include in a diaper bag gift set you make, you can print these free! Here is months 1 – 6, and here is months 7 – 12.
If you’re a mom, looking for a one stop shop to pick up all of your baby needs at a great value, remember to shop at Family Dollar! Visit their site to find a store near you!
