Ecocentric Mom provided me with a free sample of this product to review, and I was under no obligation to review it if I so chose. Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review in return for the free product.
If you visit my blog regularly (thank you, you’re awesome!), you may have figured out that I am a little obsessed with surprises. It’s been over a year since I received my first Ecocentric Mom Review box, and I have been delighted with the variety of natural, healthy and organic products that I have discovered through Ecocentric Mom!
About Ecocentric Mom
Ecocentric Mom is a subscription service that delivers natural, organic and healthy beauty and home products for moms, moms-to-be and babies. They offer three different box options: Moms, Moms-to-Be and Mom & Baby Box. Each box is filled with new and healthy products to try, from chocolate apple chips to body wash! If you have been wanting to transition to or are looking for healthier alternatives, this is a great way to try out and explore new products, at an affordable price!
I am delighted to be a part of the Ecocentric Mom Blogger team, so I get the great privilege to try out their boxes, and blog about them here. This month, I tried out their Mom-to-Be Box, and here was the great bounty I received!
YogaVive Apple Chips (with Chocolate)
Show me a box full of goodies, and my eyes will instantly gravitate towards food. This month’s box included a bag of Yogavive apple chips, which are made from the USDA organic fuji apples that are gently bake-dried. They’re dusted lightly with cocoa, lending a sweet and delicate flavor to a crunchy and nutritious snack.
Other reasons YogaVive is awesome: they’re non GMO, gluten free, vegan, and promote fair trade. There are no preservatives or additives in them, just organic fuji apples and cocoa flavor. And, if you have food allergies in your family like I do, you’ll be happy to hear that they’re made free from common allergens of shellfish, eggs, fish, milk, peanut, soybeans, tree nuts and wheat!
Ever since Elle was born, her skin has been super sensitive. I don’t use any products with artificial fragrances or harsh chemicals, so it was a little tricky finding diapers and wipes I could use on her delicate skin. Although she has been potty trained for a while, I still carry wipes in my purse, in case her hands and face get sticky or messy.
WaterWipes are preservative-free, non greasy and extra soft. They’re made from 99.9% water, and the other 0.1% is grapefruit seed extract.
Ecocentric Mom-to-Be subscribers received 5 charming blank cards and envelopes that adorn colorful baby objects. These adorable cards are from einvite.com.
eInvite.com has a huge selection of invitations, announcements, gifts and personalized stationary. We even received a coupon code for 20% off through the end of September!
Spices and Tea
I love handcrafted teas and spices, and Natural Suburban’s shop on Etsy does it right. I am charmed by the clever names of their teas, including “Ok, Seriously Time to Focus Tea”, to “Dear Sinuses, Quit Overreacting Tea”. I was provided a sample of “Need a Little Sunshine in My Day Tea”, which is a blend of rose petals, rosehips, oatstraw and other herbs. I know it’s intended to drink, but it’s so pleasantly fragrant and pretty, I am considering adding it to my bath while drinking a cup of it.
I also received a sample of their Summer Herb Garden Savory, which smells and tastes amazing. It’s an organic blend of chives, parsley, rosemary, oregano, and other herbs. It is finely ground, making it ideal for soups, stews and breads. They also sell homestyle taco mixes, herbs de provence and a mustard slice blend. I have a feeling I will be shopping there in the future!
Beautiful Sugar Lip Balm
I am obsessed with lip balm. I use it at least 25 times a day. I had to learn how to make it from scratch, so I could afford to support my habit.
My lip balm is great, but I love the flavors in Savannah Red’s lip balm. It’s a smooth blend of organic ingredients, including olive oil, candelilla wax, rosehip oil and essential oils. It goes on smooth, and leaves lips moisturized. These tubes are only $2.99 a piece, and you can customize your flavor!
Happy Baby Meal Time
A cute cardboard book is the perfect size for a baby enjoying their first books. It shows different meal times for babies and has pictures of four different babies.
Even though this book is a bit young for my four-year-old, she grabbed it immediately and added it to her book collection!
Lauren Brooke Cream Foundation
Many people have converted to powder foundations, in an effort to reduce the toxins they come in counter with while using cream foundations. Lauren Brooke has managed to create a lightweight, all-natural foundation using healthy ingredients, such as argan oil, beeswax, and green tea.
I received a travel-size foundation set, with three different shades, to sample the product. As an added bonus, this foundation contains SPF 28!
Pregnancy is a beautiful time in a woman’s life, and if you’ve experienced it, you know that your body undergoes some serious changes. This belly balm is made from organic cold-pressed hemp seed oil, organic extra virgin coconut oil, vitamin E, organic almond oil, organic shea butter and is lightly scented with tangerine, lavender and vanilla.
Bear’s beauty also makes an extensive line of other body and face care items, using organic ingredients. If you’re looking to clean your beauty regimen, definitely check out her shop!
Bathtime Baby Wash
I will try not to go on a rant, but it is insane what kind of ingredients turn up in baby wash and lotion. Artificial fragrances, dyes, and a whole host of other toxins that newborn babies are exposed to.
Bathtime Baby is a gentle combination shampoo and body wash made with nourishing botanical extracts, and is free of harmful ingredients. They’re hypoallergenic, free from parabens, glycols, sulfates, fragrances, and dyes, AND their packaging is BPA and Phthalate free!
Aromaflage Insect Repellent
Have you ever wished that your perfume would repel insects? Well, aromaflage is your answer!
Its scent boasts notes of citrus fruit, silken vanilla, and warm cedarwood. They were inspired by the practice of using botanicals to ward off insects, documented by ancient Romans, Greeks and Indian scholars.
I hope you enjoyed my Ecocentric Mom Review! If you want to join in on the fun, subscriptions are just $24 and ship every other month. If you’ve been wanting to incorporate healthier products into your home, this is a great way to explore new products!
