horizon1 During the summer, we love taking road trips to Grandma’s house.  I’ll load up the kids after work on Friday and we’ll make the hour and a half trip to her house.  One thing I have learned, after a couple trips, is that having snacks and drinks on hand is an absolute must when traveling with kids.  But, I don’t want to stop at a convenience store and load up on junk… I like to plan road trip snacks for kids that I feel good about them eating.  horizon2 I like to pack a mix of sweet veggies, fresh fruit, and salty and sweet snacks, along with a drink or two, depending on how long the road trip is. These are foods we usually have on hand for after-school snacks, and they can be conveniently packed for road trips!   horizon grapes If you’re looking for a list of road trip snacks for kids, for short or long trips, here are some great ideas to get you started!
