My mom and I get together, about once a month, and spend the weekend creating new homemade dishes (mostly for the blog!), watching reruns of Modern Family, and relaxing as much as possible. This past weekend, we got together and decided the theme of the weekend was going to be St. Patrick’s Day!
If you didn’t see the recipe for corned beef and cabbage egg rolls a couple days ago, please stop here… now… and go check it out. It’ll be worth your time. I promise.
Okay, now that you’re drooling over the Irish egg rolls, I wanted to share a drink to go along with it. It is my mom’s creation, and we decided to name it Irish Coffee. While one could interpret Irish Coffee as coffee with Baileys, we took it one step farther.
- 1 tbsp Irish Whiskey
- 1 tbsp Kahlua
- 8 ounces freshly brewed coffee
- 1 dallop of whipped cream
Combine whiskey, kahlua and coffee in a coffee cup, and stir. Top with whipped cream.
Pretty easy, eh? Well, there you have it. I hope you enjoy your Irish Coffee and St. Patrick’s Day!
