I know, all too well, the many choices you make when you have a baby! From picking out the crib, clothes and a hundred other baby essentials, like baby wipes, parents make a lot of choices! I had a baby in April this year, and I tried to get organized by making a Printable Newborn Checklist, and buying a few things every time I got paid, so that we had everything we needed by the time my son was born. It also gave me a chance to really look at what options there were, and make sure I was choosing the best products for my baby.
When you really start to look at ingredients in shampoos, lotions, and even baby wipes, you’d be amazed at all the chemicals that go into them! One thing that has always been important when choosing products to use on my babies is that the products should be as natural and healthy as possible. When I was pregnant, I was able to try out WaterWipes natural baby wipes from my Ecocentric Mom subscription box, and knew it was a product I felt comfortable using on my newborn. (Isn’t he cute?)
About WaterWipes – Natural Baby Wipes
WaterWipes are chemical free natural baby wipes, made from only two ingredients: 99.9% purified water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. That’s it! It is interesting to Google another major wipe manufacturer’s ingredients, and see what all goes into them. I personally believe in the philosophy that less is more, especially when it comes to chemicals and my babies.
WaterWipes is a European brand, and I can attest that their wipes are durable and effective. They are preservative-free, and they stay good for 15 months, but it is recommended that they are used within a month of opening (which, a package of wipes has never lasted me longer than a week!). I also know that when I was using a different brand of wipes on my daughter, when she was a baby, the fragrances and additives bothered her skin, and once we made the switch, she experienced fewer diaper rashes.
Another cool feature of WaterWipes is that they are not interfolded, which creates a sterile environment within the package, so long as they stay in their original package.
Where to find WaterWipes
You can find WaterWipes at your local TARGET, or you can buy them at TARGET online. I actually don’t live in a town that has a TARGET (sad, huh?), but I was taking my daughter to a doctor’s appointment in a larger city nearby, and hit up TARGET, and bought 2 60-count packages of WaterWipes. While I was there, I spent almost an hour in their baby section. They have so many cute clothes, and everything you need for the baby! I probably could have spent longer in the baby section (let alone the kitchen or stationary), but my appointment and hungry kids were vying for more time, so we grabbed our WaterWipes, and a few must-have outfits, and checked out.
You can also use WaterWipes Store Locator to find a store near you that carries them!
