Elegant Rose Boutique

Natural Bath and Body – Elegant Rose Boutique

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved bath and body products.  The different colors, scents and textures of products are alluring.  Each different soap, bath salt, and moisturizer is a relaxing and invigorating spa-like experience… just waiting to happen.

These days, I wouldn’t dare to bring most commercial bath and body products into my home.  I have read too many things about the toxins and harmful chemicals that those bath and body products contain.  And since our skin can absorb up to 100% of those toxins into the blood stream, that isn’t something I want to expose myself or my family to.

As I stepped away from commercial products, feeling like I would have to give up my indulgences, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that natural bath and body products are not only healthy and effective, but ooh so wonderful, and infinitely better than the commercial products.  One of the absolute best handmade bath and body stores I have found is Elegant Rose Boutique.  I was able to try out several of her products, and am really sold on her natural bath and body line.  The soaps are like works of art.

Winter Calm Salt Bar

Winter Calm Sea Salt Soap Bar

This salt bar is the reason that smellovision (or smellointernet?) needs to exist.  It is made from a blend of lavender, rosewood, eucalyptus, and mint essential oils.  When I inhale the wonderfully calming aroma, I feel the stress of my day dissolve.  I really think people could place bowls of this salt bar in high stress environments, like attorney’s offices, or in the homes of moms with toddlers, and the world would be a better place.  Seriously… if you have young kids at home, and you feel like you’re about to pull your hair out at any moment, you need to stop what you’re doing, head over to Elegant Rose Boutique, and order this salt bar. You deserve it.

In addition to the mildly tranquilizing qualities of the salt bar, it also happens to be great for your skin.  It’s creamy and has dead sea salts in it to gently remove dead skin cells, to leave you with soft and smooth skin.

I will be buying more of this salt bar.  I am actually considering stockpiling it, just in case the internet ever crashes, or a zombie apocalypse happens.   Buy yours here

True Grit Soap

True Grit Soap

This appropriately named soap gets its name from a John Wayne movie, because it is an abrasive soap that is perfect for cowboys, cowgirls, farmers, artists and gardeners.  It’s a durable blend of olive oil, coconut oil, organic palm oil, organic shea butter, pumice and a blend of invigorating and cistrusy essential oils.

True grit soap has a beautiful color and a scent that is bright enough for a woman, but also neutral enough for a man.  If I was a more generous person, I might be willing to share this with my hubby, but I’m not.  This soap smells too good to share.  The bright citrus notes are energizing and a perfect way to wake up in the morning shower!  You can find it here

(Okay, maybe I’ll buy him some of this soap for his birthday.)

Three Kings Soap

Three Kings Soap

When I saw the name “Three Kings Soap”, I was a little confused by the name, until I inhaled the aroma.  It smells like Christmas! It is a spicy blend of frankincense and myrhh powder, with a base of olive oil, coconut oil, organic palm oil, organic shea butter and other essential oils.

Three Kings Soap is also gender neutral, and could be enjoyed by women or men.  If you love the smell of fall, you are going to love this soap.  Click here to check it out.

Lavender Mint Splash Salt Bar

Lavender Mint Splash Sea Salt Salt Bar

If I owned a spa, I would hand out individually-wrapped bars of this soap, to all of my customers, to ensure that they would come back.

This smells similar to the Winter Calm Salt Bar, and I’m adding this to my stockpile list.  This luxury sea salt soap bar is made from coconut oil, castor oil, sunflower oil, sea salt, and a perfect blend of essential oils.  It lathers up well, creating a spa-like experience on otherwise hectic days.  My relatives and friends will be getting this for Christmas!  Buy it here for a mere $6!

French Red Clay Soap

French Red Clay Soap

This handmade soap is great for normal to oily skin.  It has the addition of french red clay, which gives it this beautiful red tone.  It is mildly fragranced with a floral blend of essential oils that are well suited for normal to oily skin types.  If you prefer a more subtle smell, this is a great option.

You can pick up 5 oz bars of this French Red Clay soap here, for only $6!

Aloe and Comfrey Soap

Aloe & Comfrey Soap

This soap is gorgeous.  It looks almost like a granite counter-top. The addition of comfrey, which is considered a healing herb since ancient times, may help alleviate skin problems such as acne and inflammation associated with arthritis.

This soap is mildly scented, and in my opinion, is more masculine.  Visit Elegant Rose Boutique to check it out!

Activated Charcoal Soap

Activated Charcoal Soap

It’s pretty, isn’t it? I am a huge fan of activated charcoal, and this soap happens to be Elegant Rose Boutique’s best selling soap.  It’s has a fresh clean scent, which is so much better than the synthetic fragrances added to most soaps.

The addition of activated charcoal and essential oils is great for any skin type and is gentle enough to use as a facial soap.  I am still blown away at how affordable these hand-crafted luxury soaps are.  Only $6 for a bar.  Get your activated charcoal soaps here

Mineral Toothpaste

Natural Flouride Free Toothpaste

I have been looking for a natural toothpaste for a while now, and am stoked that I have finally found a great one! I don’t know about you, but the radioactive blue color of most toothpastes doesn’t look like any color that occurs in nature… which screams to me “synthetic!”.  Commercial toothpaste is junk.  Do yourself a favor and throw it away, and check out this toothpaste instead.

This natural remineralizing toothpaste is flouride free (yay!) and cleans, whitens and remineralizes your teeth.  It’s safe for children, even if swallowed (double yay!), since it doesn’t have all the junk most toothpastes have.  It has a fresh mint taste, with a slight salty note from the baking soda.  My teeth feel as clean as they do after a cleaning from the dentist, and they were whiter after only one use.  It comes in a convenient pump bottle for ease of application, and is a steal at only $3.75 a bottle! Whatever enthusiastic and kind words I have to say about Elegant Rose Boutique, it isn’t justice enough for the quality of her products.  I have bought a lot of handmade soaps and natural bath and body products from farmers markets and local vendors, and Elegant Rose Boutique’s products are far better than any I have tried.  I noticed that she has over 7,000 reviews on her Etsy shop, and she is rated 5 stars.  It is not surprising! I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to review her products, and am now a life-long customer of Elegant Rose Boutique.  I am excited to try out all of the products she has!

Melissa, the owner of Elegant Rose Boutique, is a true artist.  If you have a few extra dollars and want to eliminate some bad toxins from yours and your family’s life, this is well worth the money.

Now excuse me while I pour myself a glass of wine, draw a warm bath, and treat myself to a spa day 🙂
