stocking stuffer ideas

When I was a child, my mom always did great stockings.  I especially remember my teenage years where I got scented finger nail polish, every flavor of lip balm I could imagine, and warm fuzzy socks. Over the years, I think I have come to like my stockings more than (or certainly as much as) the other presents I receive.  They are just so much fun, and you never know what treats a stocking will hold!  As I get a little older, I tend to like more practical stuffers than cheap filler.

Below is a list of what I plan on putting in our stockings this year (and what I hope to get… in case my husband is reading this ;)).

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for the Husband:

 razor

Gilette Fusion Razors: Even though my husband has declared it is “No Shave November”, I am hoping he changes his mind come December and starts to resume normal grooming habits.  Razors are expensive, and he hates to buy them, so I always include a set in his stocking.
toothbrush Spinbrush Prowhitening Battery Powered Toothbrush: We love our toothbrushes around here, and this is the brand hubby prefers.
reeses Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups:  I don’t like to overload on the sugar and candy for the holidays, so I try to include only a bag of his favorite candy, which happens to be Reeses.
41JfzOf9rlL Mini LED Flashlight: He’s an outdoors man, and you never know when he is going to need a good light.  In addition, our daughter keeps stealing his flashlights for bedtime stories, so I figured it would be nice to replace them!
utility knife Retractable Utility Knife: I think most men need a good utility knife handy, and a backup one just in case.  These make great, inexpensive stuffers that are sure to be utilized!
vitamin code men Garden of Life Vitamin Code Men’s Multivitamin: At first glance, vitamins may not seem like an exciting stuffer, but these vitamins are the best vitamins I have found.  They provide all of the essential nutrients, plus energy.  They’re the real deal.
amazon gift card Amazon Gift Card: In case there are any essentials I forgot, I like to include a couple different gift cards so my husband can pick out what he wants.  Another great idea is to include a gift card from their favorite restaurant!

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for the Daughter:

dora pad Dora the Explorer Sticker Pad: My daughter loves stickers, almost as much as she loves Dora.  These will provide hours of entertainment for her (even if I have to clean up on every surface area in my home).
vitamin kid Garden of Life Vitamin Code, Kids: My picky toddler has taken a serious stance against vegetables, of all kinds.  For the life of me, I can’t get her to eat them.  While I try my hardest to provide her with nutritious meals, I want to make sure she gets all of the nutrition she needs.  This raw, vegetarian, and dairy-free multivitamin can help bridge the gaps until her palate tells her to love asparagus as much as I do.

 tootle bubbles

Melissa & Doug Tootle Turtle Bubbles: You know what can provide endless hours of entertainment, while a toddler is stuck indoors?  Bubbles.  They never get old, they never go out of fashion, and one bottle can last for weeks.
 yumearth organics

YumEarth Organic Lollipops: Elle has severe food allergies, so we have to be extra cautious about candy and baked goods.  While I don’t want her eating candy on a regular basis, I feel better about giving her a special holiday treat if it’s organic and free from chemicals and food dyes.

flashlight Little Tikes Action Robot Flashlight: Did I mention that my daughter steals my husband’s flashlights?  I think she should finally get her own, kid-friendly light, so I plan on stuffing this guy into her stocking this year.

 crayons

Crayons: I have an aspiring artist as a daughter.  She will color for hours, but she also has a habit of breaking her crayons in half, and hiding them, so I need a constant supply of new crayons.  This 24 count box will be the perfect size for her stocking.

harmonica Harmonica: Although I am bound to regret this, I think my daughter would love a harmonica.  They’re inexpensive, compact, and sure to be a real treasure for her.

Stocking Stuffers for me

lindor truffles Lindor Truffles: I only let myself eat these truffles once a year, because of the large quantity that I will eat.  They are my absolute favorite, and I can demolish a bag a day.  My husband usually includes a bag (or 5) in my stocking, so I am hoping he continues with the tradition J.
wine stop Wine Bottle Stop: These inexpensive and reusable wine bottle stops are convenient and perfect for the wine connoisseur, like me.
jojoba oil Organic Jojoba Oil: I use organic jojoba oil in a ton of my homemade lotions, beauty products and facial treatments.  This is a great gift for the DIYer or beauty enthusiasts.
silicone spatula set Silicone Spatula Set: You have to be careful when buying a spouse or girlfriend kitchen tools for Christmas.  While some women may not appreciate it, I actually love receiving any kitchen gadgets.   I love to cook, and anything that’ll make the process easier or more enjoyable, I am all for!
salt and soak Bath Salts: All moms deserve a break and a little indulgence.  A relaxing bath with sea salts and calming essential oils is a perfect gift for any woman.
wine glass charms Wine Glass Charms: We have quite a bit of company over for the holidays, and it is never polite to drink out of someone else’s glass by mistake.  These adorable wine-themed charms rest on the bottom of the glass as reminder of whom the drink belongs to.
vitamin code womens Vitamin code Women’s Multivitamin: I don’t want to be the odd man out with the perfect multivitamin! These are created from fruits and vegetables, contain live probiotics, without any binders of fillers.

What a great list of stocking stuffers. We don’t hang stockings, but I can see these all being great gifts anyway!

I love how you put vitamin on your list! They can be so expensive so this is a cool way to help the budget a little. 🙂 Favorite candy is always awesome. My daughter loves flashlights as well. One is on our stocking list for her.

Bubbles are a great one! I thought I was the only one who let their kiddos play wih bubbles in the house. 🙂
Oh, and I’m definitely getting hubby some razors. He’s been wingeing at how much they cost and I DON’T want him growing a beard. Haha.

  4. Great ideas! I still need to get all my stocking stuffers. Usually that’s the easy part for me but this year I got everything else first!
