Take for instance – little smokies with bacon. They’re pretty much the perfect keto appetizer, but anyone eating them wouldn’t even know they’re low carb, because they’re so delicious!

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Lil Smokies
For this recipe, you’ll need a package of lil smokies, 6 pieces of bacon, and 4 tablespoons of sugar free bbq sauce.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Quarter 6 pieces of bacon, lengthwise.
Place a lil smokie onto each piece of bacon, then roll up. Secure with a toothpick, or place seam side down.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and baste with bbq sauce. Return to oven for 10 more minutes.
When they’re crispy and browned, remove from oven.
Serve with additional bbq sauce, if desired!

- 6 slices bacon

Transfer bacon wrapped lit'l smokies onto a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, then remove from oven, baste with bbq sauce, and return for another 10 minutes.

Where to find Sugar Free BBQ Sauce
I found a couple different brands of sugar free bbq sauce at my local Kroger store, on the condiment isle. I really like G Hughes line of keto-friendly condiments.
The bbq sauce tastes pretty close to what you’re used to, but only has 2 net carbs per 2 tablespoons!
You can also make your own sugar free bbq sauce, if you like to cook and have some extra time.
Can I make these in a Slow Cooker?
You can make bacon wrapped lil smokies keto style in a slow cooker! Just wrap them in bacon, and place them in a slow cooker. Cook on high for 3 – 4 hours. When cooked, brush them with bbq sauce and enjoy!
Can you make Bacon Wrapped Smokies Ahead of Time?
Yep! If you want to serve these at a potluck or get together, you can make them ahead of time.
Once cooked, store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To warm them up before serving, preheat oven to 425 degrees. Pop them into the oven and bake until warmed through.
Are Little Smokies Keto Friendly?
Yes! Each package of lit’l smokies has approximately 24 smokies. The whole package only has 5 net carbs, 53 grams of fat, and 38 grams of protein, making them a great option for keto followers.
