Banana Face Mask
The great part about a banana face mask is that it’s simple and easy to do. And I really love that this is a natural face mask without added chemicals. Because we all know that chemicals don’t do anything good for our skin, right?
As I’ve aged I’ve decided that it’s time to do what I can to bring back some of that youthful look to my skin. And since no one has discovered the fountain of youth yet (fingers crossed!), I’m figuring that my own DIY beauty and skincare regimes are going to be the next best things.
If you’re ready to give this simple face mask a try, find out all about it below!
Ingredients needed to make a Face Mask with bananas
Luckily, the ingredient list is small! Just gather up what you see below to get started!
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Benefits of a homemade face mask
Every face mask is different because of the added ingredients but the added banana and lemon juice combined will do a great job at bringing out the natural glow in your skin.
The honey can help smooth and is also a great sticky substance to hold the other ingredients in place.
How to Make a Banana Face Mask
It’s just as simple as it looks! You just have to combine the three ingredients listed above, mix well, and apply them to your face.
After you’ve let the mask sit for about 15 minutes, you can just wash it off and you’re good to go! (plus your face is going to smell really yummy, too!)

Combine ingredients together, mix well, then apply to the face. Let sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse well.
How many times should you use this face mask per week?
While there isn’t really any set rule, a good rule of thumb would be to use this one per week at most. You can easily use it more if you need to but a regular use is going to be best when done weekly.
The lemon juice shouldn’t irritate your face but there’s a chance that it could so this is something to be aware of. If it does start to bother your face, stop using it, and try a different face mask recipe.
Can you use a banana that isn’t ripe?
You can but it won’t have the same effect. It will also be harder to mix and not be lumpy. Ripe bananas are the best types of bananas to use.
Have fun making this simple face mask recipe. It’s probably going to be one of the easiest homemade face masks that you’re going to make!
