DIY Lip Plumper
Lip plumpers are a great thing. They take your skinny lips and just give them a quick boost. And even though it might not be a long-term thing, it does give you nice, plump lips for quite some time!
This recipe below is simple and easy to make and you’ll find that it’s just pretty fun as well. Make certain to take a before and after photo so that you can see the difference for yourself!
DIY Lip Plumper
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
Combine all the ingredients into a small bowl. Once mixed add it to your lips and gently rub it around for several moments of time. The longer that you rub, the more that you’re going to stimulate the blood flow which will, in turn, be what gives you lips a plumper look and feel. (5 minutes of time should be sufficient.) Once done, rinse off and then add on a homemade lip balm for shine.
Since this recipe uses minimal ingredients, this isn’t really one to have to worry about storing as the amount you need is pretty much what you’re going to be making and using right then and there when you apply it.

How it works:
Since it’s important to understand what we’re putting on our bodies, here are the reasons that I use these ingredients for my homemade lip plumper.
- The cinnamon works with the blood/blood vessels in a way that causes it to naturally plump your lips.
- The sugar is an easy way to scrub on your lips to get them to start moving that blood flow around more.
