Edible Lip Scrub
I’m a big fan of this recipe because it only has three simple ingredients needed and it really does work. And I’m not gonna lie…that sweet flavor and taste really help out as well.
Since I’m constantly using homemade beauty products over store-bought ones, it’s nice to have one that actually tastes really sweet, too.
Edible Lip Scrub
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon white sugar (or brown sugar)
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
Combine all the ingredients listed above. (Make certain that the coconut oil is in liquid form so that it’s easy to apply to your lips. But if you’re melting it, be careful as it is going to be hot.)
Once they are combined, take and apply to your lips in a circular motion. Then, wipe off the excess with a cloth (or lick your lips to get a taste!).
Apple lip balm and you’re good to go! Your lips will be smooth in no time at all!

How it works:
Lip scrub is a simple beauty product that actually works wonders.
- The sugar in this beauty recipe is what scrubs away the dead or dry skin.
- The honey is the “binding” agent to make the sugar stick to your lips in a way that allows for it to scrub away and make your lips smooth.
- Since the coconut oil is also in this recipe, it’s this added ingredient that adds moisture to your lips as well.
How often should you use a lip scrub on your lips?
This is really up to you but once or twice per week should be fine. Since this DIY lip scrub recipe is sweet, you might want to use it more often so you feel like you’re getting a delicious snack!
