First, roughly chop your ginger. Grab a small saucepan and heat the coconut oil on low and add ginger. Cook for 5-10 minutes until fragrant.
Remove from heat and strain the coconut oil using a sieve or coffee filter. I let it rest a few minutes to fully drain.
While the oil is still warm, mix together with olive oil. Stir to combine and let cool to room temperature. Stir in sugar and salt. Add in essential oils, if using.
