TABASCO® and Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

TABASCO® Jalapeno Sauce and Roasted Garlic add a fun and flavorful spin on the classic mashed potatoes!

  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 lbs russett potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp TABASCO®
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Slice off the top of a head of garlic, and drizzle with olive oil.  Wrap with foil, place on a baking sheet, and bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes. Once cooked, gently remove cloves from skin and set aside. 

  2. Meanwhile, bring a pot of hot water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender, about 12 - 15 minutes.  

  3. Strain the water from the potatoes, and return back to the pot.  Add heavy cream, butter, and roasted garlic cloves.  Stir in TABASCO®, one teaspoon at a time, until desired flavor.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.
