Rich, flavorful, and savory sautéed mushrooms

Are they healthy? Meh.  Are you going to care?  Absolutely not.  The only thing you’ll be thinking about is how happy this tasty treat makes your taste buds.

Sauteed Mushrooms

I admit, I never liked mushrooms, until recently.  But I’m convinced, if I had mushrooms prepared like this the first time, I would have loved them for my whole life.  

I’m a changed woman.

 Alright, enough already, here’s the recipe!

Savory, flavorful, sautéed mushrooms that will make you wish you'd been using this recipe your whole life
Serves: 4
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tsp worcestershire
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp (or a good squeeze) fresh lemon juice
  1. Add butter and olive oil to a pan on medium heat until butter is melted.
  2. Add onions and sautée until almost translucent, about 4-6 minutes. Add garlic, and sautée an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add mushrooms and sautee for 3-5 minutes. Add chicken stock, worcestershire, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Cook until mushrooms are tender, about 20-25 minutes.

    We are big fans of sauteed mushrooms in our house. I love to sautee them up with some spinach and fresh garlic, so yummy!

    I’m absolutely GAGA over sauteed mushrooms! Actually, I’m a big mushroom fan regardless of how they’re prepared, but I will admit this way is probably my favorite ^.^
