Whenever I think of any season in the year, I often think about the food I associate with that season. Maybe it’s because I really love eating?
For summer, I think about fresh vibrant produce and grilled pork.

Grilling Pork Imparts Fantastic Flavor
When I first started grilling, I would grill a lot of steaks and some chicken, but it wasn’t until recently that I discovered how delicious fresh pork is grilled!
Whether you use a charcoal or gas grill, it imparts a smokey flavor that elevates fresh pork to the next level.
The fun thing is you can grill almost any kind of meat – ribs, filets, tenderloins, chops – they all have terrific flavor when grilled.
Make Sure to Buy Fresh Pork
Pork is simple, versatile, and flavorful, but you want to make sure you’re buying fresh, natural pork.
Walmart is my go to for Fresh Pork. I usually purchase Smithfield ® pork, but you could purchase your preferred brand.
Walmart has a great selection of ribs, chops, and marinated fresh pork for grilling. They even have marinated fresh pork and fresh pork ribs, which have a ton of flavor and provide an easy go-to summer grilling recipe.
What Temperature Should Cooked Pork Be?
For pork chops, pork loins, and pork roasts, they’re best cooked to 145℉, then let them rest for 3 minutes before enjoying.
